How to Export the Remaining Application Validations

Learn how to export application validation reports so you can review and resolve application issues in Excel.

PDM provides application validations to help identify issues in application and fitment data. These validations can be reviewed in the All Applications area, and some validation reports can also be exported through Import/Export for easier review, filtering, and cleanup.

Exporting application validations is helpful when you need to review a large number of records, share results with your team, or work through corrections in bulk.

What are application validations?

Application validations help identify possible issues in fitment data. Depending on the validation type, PDM can help identify records such as:

  • Invalid applications

  • Duplicate applications

  • Overlapping applications or fitment data

  • Gaps in application coverage

These validations help you review application data more efficiently and identify records that may need to be corrected.

How to export Remaining Validations

To export Remaining Validations:

  1. Go to Import/Export.

  2. Click Export.

  3. Select All Parts or apply a filter to export a smaller set of products.

  4. Select Excel Full as the export type.

  5. Under Segments, select Applications.

  6. Open the Advanced Export Options.

  7. Scroll to the bottom of the export screen.

  8. Go to Add Validation in Export.

  9. Select the application validation you want to run. In this case Remaining Validations.

  10. Click on Export.

Once the export is complete, the file will be available in the Export Reports tab.

Do not use the Flat Applications export when running advanced application validation reports, since some validation exports are designed to work with the standard Applications export format.

If the validation option is not available in your account, contact PDM Support to confirm whether the validation needs to be enabled.

Reviewing the exported report

After the report is generated:

  1. Go to Import/Export.

  2. Open Export Reports.

  3. Download the completed export file.

  4. Open the file in Excel.

  5. Review the validation results.

  6. Go to the last two columns and filter by removing Blanks in the column CB called Analysis

You'll be able to see the Remaining Alerts and valid values in some cases.
