To improve security of the platform, we are changing the requirements for passwords for all users. This change will be effective as of August 27, 2025. The requires are as follows:
Passwords must contain 12 characters or more
Passwords must contain one each of:
Capital letter
Lowercase letter
Number
Special character
In addition, please note that your account administrator may choose to require all users within the account to reset their password every 90 days. Administrators will find this setting under Settings > Default Values.
Actions to Comply with New Requirements:
Scenario 1: Your password already meets the new requirements.
Action required: None. Compliant passwords do not require updates.
Scenario 2: Your password does not meet the new requirements and you'd like to change your password immediately.
Action required: Log out of PDM. Go to the PDM "Forgot Password." This will allow you to receive an email with password reset instructions. Find the email (check your spam folder if needed) and follow the directions to create a new password that meets the requirements. Please note the new requirements will not be enforced. That is, the system will create your new password whether it meets the new requirements or not.
Scenario 3: Your password does not meet the new requirements and you'd like to wait until the change comes into effect.
Action required: None immediately, though once the requirement is enabled, your password will fail to work and you will be asked to change it when attempting to log in to PDM.
